This correspondence, responding to mine of May 9 1959,
initiates a long term relationship, which eventuated in my close affiliation
with the Science Citation Index project, and eventually (unforeseen at the
time) my joining the board of directors of ISI (Institute for
Scientific Information). Extensive biographic and historic information
on Garfield, Citation Indexing, and ISI will be found in these files.
