       I am delighted to have your letter of January 5 and
to know that Dr. McCarty will present a paper at the meeting of
the American Chemical Society at Atlantic City on April 12.  I
am sorry that you do not wish to have your name appear on the
program with that of Dr. McCarty, but I am sure that I understand
your viewpoint.  Dr. Brand is sending out information regarding
the abstract.  It is my understanding that it will not be necessary
to prepare a manuscript for publication unless by chance you should
care to do 00,
