Description:
Apgar, newly graduated from Mount Holyoke College, wrote to tell Voorhees, director of the MHC Appointment Bureau, that she would not be working as a camp counselor during the summer, but had found a job with a Harvard physician's family, "because of the opportunity to be among scientific people." The medical family, the Drinkers, would be Apgar's lifelong friends.
