The Virginia Apgar Papers

Title:
Letter from Virginia Apgar to Robert E. Sharkey pdf (31,209 Bytes) ocr (531 Bytes)
Description:
In her 50s, Apgar started taking flying lessons; despite her busy travel schedule, she found ways to log additional flying time at airfields wherever she happened to be, and to compare notes with other pilots. In this letter, she wrote to thank Sharkey for a navigation aid he passed along, and briefly described her "touch-and-go" landings.
