During World War I Heidelberger was commissioned in the Sanitary Corp, where he was assigned to the Section on Combating Venereal Diseases. This list of educational and propaganda material was supplied to members of the section to aid them in their campaign to control sexually transmitted diseases in military training camps and surrounding civilian communities.
