January 4, 1986 Dr . Leon Fie7pel Section of Biochemistry Molecular and Cell Biology Cornell University Wing Hall I thaca, NY 14850 Dear Leon: Fy nienory is getting bad. I don'c really remember how well I nave kept you informed about the arrangements for next summer. I do renember telling yoti that: Peter Condliffe is unable :o help out, even to the extent of having the Fogarty sponsor the visit with the stipezid paid from our Laboratory budget. We can arrange for you to come on a Professional Services Contract. You said that it Mould be in summer, probably June-July or July-August. Either way wili probably be fine. As I told you, we will have space available across the hall and dorm a bit 5rom Claude's lab. The total stipend will come to about $&2.:10. I hope the winter is not too bad in Ithaca. Here it has been quite mild. With best regards. Sincerely, Fktxine Singer
