- In the summer of 1919, Sawyer and his family moved to Brisbane, Australia, to head the Rockefeller Foundation's new hookworm control campaign there. [From right:] Peggy with Motuan grass skirt and Motuan tom-tom (Papua), Ruth with fibre rami from Trobriands, and Motuan comb, Gertrude with model of native out-rigger dug-out canoe with crab claw sail.
