Description:
Several months after the first NASA lunar landing, Luria wrote the editor to dispute the scientific value and expense of the "man-on-the-moon program" and plans for missions to Mars at a time when government funding for medical research was being cut. This letter appeared in the newspaper on 26 September 1969.
