Description:
With the election of John Kennedy, Linus Pauling stepped-up his efforts to combat nuclear weapons and atmospheric testing. In this letter, the Paulings urged Luria to sign the "Appeal to Stop the Spread of Nuclear Weapons." This petition would eventually be signed by over 200,000 Americans.
