Dear John,

For some time I have wanted to write you to congratulate you on
becoming the President of an institution to which I am grateful for
the first support I reeeived in this country and also for much
continuing guidance and advice over the years.  The immediate
stimulus for this letter, however, is to congratulate you on being
censured by the Massachusetts Medical Society.  I imagine that it
makes you as proud as my discovery that I was on the bJlH blacklist
made ue.
