computerized information bank which facilitated matching heart and kidney patients' vital information (i.e., blood type) with potential organ donors.

Specifically, see the following projects: Improved Regional Tissue Typing; Inter Hospital Kidney Transplant; and Regional Dialysis and Transplant. These projects were in cooperation with the Missouri Kidney Foundation. They were directed by Drs. Cross, Klahr, and Anderson. The tissue typing was done by Dr. Cross at the Mid West Organ Bank in Kansas City. These centers in Kansas City and St. Louis are still active in 1995. [AER]
