Dear Mary,

     Its a glorious day and the whole staff
is going to the Cospopolitan Club to a reception
tig the Flexners.   This is the time of the
annual Meeting and t% seems that there is always
some celebration.  We have just made a survey
of OUT animals tend so far the experiment is all
to the good.

  Yesterday Dr. White was here and spent the &Q
We had ## a fine time and I am to stay with the
Whites when I go to Was&in&on for the National
Academy.

  To-night I go to Dr. Rous for dinner after the
Flexners tea.  Then to-morrow I am to go to Brooklyn
>,w&th Helen Harrington#B to dinner at a friends
house when we shall meet Edith Jackson. Sunday
I am going over on Long Island.to~ see an old
Hopkins nurse who is dying of pernicious anaemia.

Dosns father came to dinner last night and we

went to Pinnafore.  It seemed very simple and old
fashioned.  All the airs were familiar.

   Dind't get-my air mail letter off this week end
but will send one along some day.
