Dear b&y,

    There was a luncheon at the Institute yesterday
for a society woman and her daughter who wanted to
see the Institute.  Just a small one of 12. Dr. Plexner
has these spechal Mncheans inviting different members
of the staff and they are quite fun.  The society lady
was too demonstrative to suit my taste but to-day we h d
Hademe Boveri the widfiow of a very distinguished
German scientist for a luncheon,.   She wes fine.

Mrs. Flexner came this ##/ morning and we showed
our work to the two of them in spite of the fact that we
were acrrying o@ a fine experiment the best of our
whole series.   We can imagine how we have worked
in the intervals between guests and in fact Do&
carried on all the time and I fitten in when possible.

  1811 have to tell you all about the work when you
come.  Just now we are quite excited about## it

  Doan =and I are going to take a walk in the park
to blow off steam.
