Thank you for your kind invitation of March 23 to go to Madison. I would be highly interested in visiting the University
of Wisconsin and in meeting you. I plan to leave Paris around June 1st, by plane, to go to Oberlin on June 13th, and, in
the meantime, to spend a few days in New York and in Cold Spring Harbor. I could find a couple days before the 13th to go
to Madison, but this would raise the dollar problem. The N.A.C. pays my round trip ticket to Cleveland and my expenses during
the meeting. For the rest of the time, I'll be on my own, which means very few dollars. If your department can contribute
to the equivalent of a round air trip ticket from Cleveland to Madison, that would be nice. As a justification of this expense,
I could give a seminar on my attempts of inducing mutation in a virus

(If you deem it as interesting).
The best time would be June 10 +- one day. I am sorry to ask you this, but you know how life goes for a scientist with three
children . . . .
Please, answer me before I leave. Otherwise, I'll tell you by phone from C.S.H. If I go to Madison, I would be glad
to meet the cancer people.
