Great trouble was spent for run time efficiency; with today's PC's
no one would bother.  But this was also envisaged as a moderately
intelligent autonomous system where a Mars Rover might do real time
organic analysis with its mass spectrometer.  This is a prolegomenon
to the DENDRAL project
