Annotation by Joshua Lederberg:
NODE: Ed Adelberg was my lab mate in Tatum's lab 1947, and was the
(one?) other student to get his PhD at Yale with Ed Tatum. He worked
primarily on Neurospora at first, but later turned to E. coli and did important
work on the F/Hfr sex-determination system at Stanford, later at Yale -- where he
eventually went into administration to become vice-provost for research.
See his memoir in Ann Rev Microbiology, 52:1-40 1998

KW: UC/Berkeley; Stanier; Esther; memoir;

Here he is at UC/Berkeley and I ask his help re housing for my
summer 1950 visiting professorship.
