Dear Josh: Just a note tonight. Cur evidence against the biotin requirement is not so complete as I thought; Ernie was unable to get any M-plus back-mutants with uv.
All the stocks you sent Bernie died out some time this winter, he found, so I didn't think of using your other stocks. In case we have any trouble, will you send W 758, 760, 761, 831, 832, 848, 853? Thanks for the tip on pleiotropic effects.
1272 seems to grow very slowly; have you noticed that? If it continues to so do, I'll look for V6r in another stock. I think that Ia, like Az, is near TL. I'll use all the markers I can get into a vigorously-recombining stock
I don't get 90% B1-P-, but B1-P+/- and B1-P+/-, all of which I think I can use.
Gordon
