Dear Dr. Lederberg:
Thank you for your letter of the 10th of April suggesting I get in touch with Drs. Davis and Ryan. I have already seen Dr. Davis and have acquired one strain from him. The other vitamins requires he had were insusceptible to phage, he said. I intend to see Dr. Ryan soon to see what he can do.
Incidentally, Dr. Devere[?] just wrote to tell me that I have been accepted in the Bacterial Genetics course given at Cold Spring Harbor. I hope I have an opportunity to meet you there this summer.
I know Dr. Kretchmer[?] but haven't yet seen him to communicate your regards. I believe he is graduating this summer (getting his M.D). He has just recently completed some interesting biochemical research under a grant held by Dr. Jean Olliver in the Pathology department.
Thank you for your suggestions and comments
Sincerely yours,
Arthur Brown
