Annotation by Joshua Lederberg:
Node: DuPont ; company emblematic of chemical industrial innovation,
from Carrothers-Nylon onward. In grade school I did a color acrylic paint
poster with DuPont slogan "Better Things for Better Living through Chemistr

KW: DuPont plastics; labware;

Todd was setting up a microbial genetics research program at Du Pont.
[in 1990's DuPont no longer regarded itself as a Chemical but a Biotech
company. So much for "better Things for Better Living *thorugh Chemistry*"]
