Amid the local, fanatic "Y" systems--I am trying to reverse a few reactions, e.g. the move out of Michigan. As you
mentioned last summer--that you would give us a hand in getting into the Univ Apts. that you showed us. If possible we would
like to make the necessary applications. (2 bedrooms--unfurnished--we have our own except refrigerator and stove). This
will give us a chance to look around before making other more permanent plans.
I am looking forward to being in closer association with you and Ester--as well as the other groups on campus. The new quarters
must be very pleasant.
Jean and I are following the usual course of events--part science and part pleasure. Contrary to some of our advice before
coming, we found that everyone at the Institut has been very pleasant and have shown us a good deal of pleasure in Paris.
Have had a good chance to visit and experiment with Slovinsty, listen to Vollman and Jacob and try a missionary job with Jacques.
I would like to arrange to have George Cohen come over in a year and a half from now. Are there any provisions in the University
funds at Wisc. to enable his support for a year?
