Dear Joshua,
Many thanks for your letter and invitation to visit you later on. This I will certainly make every effort to do. I hope to motor across to Caltec with my family. I can leave them with the Benzers at Purdue for a couple of days and continue up to Madison myself. This should be sometime during the first week of September. I gather from Sharr[?] that your ATV[?] does not behave like mine. This seems rather important since my results have been quite unambiguous. I will send you my strain as soon as I return to London, together with some protatrophic derivatives of it, but don't reciprocate because I will have no time to do any serious K-12 work before I return to the U.S.
I would be grateful though if you could manage a reprint of your "genetics of cytogenicity[?]" paper. I will be here until about June 25th enjoying my

With best wishes
Bill Hayes
