Dear Professor Lederberg,
I enclose reprint of the work on mustard gas mutation. I have as yet no further publication although a paper on the behaviour of such mutants (including methods for treatment of spores in liquid phase) has been accepted by Biochem and Biophysics Acta. I expect this to be published soon. I have also made for my own use a critical study of possible methods for isolation of mutants. This includes experimental techniques I have been unable to test as it would mean abandoning the main line of work -- the biochemistry of sulphur compounds in [ . . . ]. I shall be glad however to cooperate
