Dear Esther,
We too were very sorry that the only Sunday we would be gone you chose to come. Since the probability is less than 10-3 for this, it shouldn't happen next time which I hope is soon.
I am real sorry to hear of the sickness of Josh's dad and hope that he is better by now.
Your remarks about F+--F- baffle me since I have never knowingly studied F+--F- in the chemostat. We have, however, routinely used as "F" medium (Friedlein) 10 mg/l, lactic acid, 3.5 gm/l NaOH, 0.1 gm/l, MgS04, 3.5 gm/l, Na2 11 PO4, 1.5 gm, KH2PO4, and 1 gr/l NH4ll.
I am teaching "virology" this quarter and should you be in Chicago I would be delighted if you could give my class a lecture. We meet 9:30-12:30 M.W.F.
My lab is just about in shape again and I'll be doing experiments this week.
Please let me know what you were talking about with respect to F+--F- in Chemostat.
Best regards
Aaron
