Dear Evelyn:
I was glad to hear that the new transfers were satisfactory. You can probably tear up the letter that Zinder wrote concerning the unsuitability of M-9.
Esther and I are leaving in few days for a trip to the West Coast -- I will be giving a course (regular lectures -- not lab) at Berkeley, in the Department of Bacteriology. However, we are not due to arrive until about August 1. There is quite a flurry of courses, isn't there?
Yours sincerely,
Joshua Lederberg
P.S. I will be glad to hear from you how the course goes, and who will be taking it.
