Dear Mr. Harford:
I would appreciate it very much if you could send me information about the Society and the requirements and objectives of membership. I have been reading about astronautics for years in an amateurish way - as who hasn't - but have become more tangibly interested more recently in the prospects of microbiological research, e.g., of the lunar surface. A glance at your publications suggests that microbiologists and others who would be vitally interested in the possibilities of imminent space travel are far behind the times, and I would like to remove myself from that number.
Yours sincerely,
Joshua Lederberg
