Dear Joe:
Thanks for your note. If it seems to time in with the zone effect of penicillin in L form growth, we may follow up the "bacterioidin". (Do you want to christen it?)
We have one experiment where E. coli B and B/1,t plus tryptophane were also killed, but I'm not absolutely certain all the penicillin was inactivated. Your paper refers to B52; if you tested B itself I'll be glad to hear about it.
I'll be glad to see you at Haverford; they have a first lien on my time and I'd better not make any other dates. But if you're coming to the lecture I'll look for you there.
