I doubt if I could be as generous to a King as you have been. When I was a little fellow we had a mess[?] of soldiers whose leader was a king. In the mock battles I used to knock off the king first -- than [sic] his officers. These toys come from Germany -- the king being the Kaiser. The rabble were Russian and Jewish soldiers.

stockholm remarks -- though I could have sold them locally to a good agent. Well now you can have it in writing -- when you come back to Madison and Im [sic] there again I'll cook that lunch for you. I note that Geneticists l [ . . . ] the Military are in the SNUM[?] these days. All problems in medicine will fall via Geneticists -- ?? As our missiles protect our freedom!! K.P.L.*
* With best wishes and all good cheer and the best of luck at Stanford
