Annotation by Joshua Lederberg:
Node: Shooter, Eric; recruited to Stanford Genetics in wake of
establishment of KLMM, to be the backbone of a research effort in
what we would today call the proteomics of the brain, and its variation
under genetic polymorphism.  Shooter's previous work had been with
hemoglobin.  As his career differentiated, Shooter went into
the Nerve Growth Factor, NGF, where he made very important contributions;
and later spun off a separate Department of Neurobiology
