-- Prof. John A Moore
[stamped, JUN 29 1987]
Dear Johnnie
Thank you so much . . .
for your recollections, and refreshing my encounters with Plasmodium. As you know they have marked my career in several ways, including the preservation of parasitology at the R.U. By the way, if you haven't seen Bill Trager's book, Do.
. . . and for your friendly appreciations.
They embolden me to ask if you can help me interpret this letter from Francis which I just retrieved (misfiled).
I try to ponder, what was my misbehavior? or Infamy? bad-boy behavior? What power did I have to "trample over people"?
of course, I can recall being argumentative, perhaps sarcastic to those I felt were unreasonably uncomprehending. Is that all Francis had in mind? He certainly meant only the best for me, so I took (and take) his remarks very seriously.
Yours,
Joshua.
