prepare to follow up in heart-to-heart discourse.
To put first things first, my vision for R.U. has not altered from what I wrote in my first "annual report"; and I
don't know how to improve on that articulation.
You had more than that in mind -- our conversation had started on the theme of extramural diversions; and I would be glad
to go into that as well, though I don't have in writing so clear a statement of philosophy. (By far the most compelling
and time-consuming of these is my work in Washington on national security problems, unhappily more and more on threats from
