Again, thank you -- and especially for caveats aplenty.
One you did not stress -- out of understandable charity for Rabi -- is that moral revulsion is no substitute for analysis in presenting an argument. E.G. I am sure that the CHC minority report was enfeebled by its lecturing on what constituted a sin.
That same certainty about what was right and wrong may have reduced Rabi's incentive to elaborate on the proposal.
Taken as classification into angels and devils, this is of course a subset under polarization.
