Dear Josh,
This is extravagent [sic] mailing, but I thought you should see this paper soon. There are some technique faults -- e.g. they apparently don't know how to handle [scientific symbol]'s, for they surface plated on isotonic medium for viability counts, resuspended pellets in dist. H2O, etc. And they are basing their hypothesis on only protein synthesis. I will microscopically follow [scientific symbol] formation on their medium, using 30 microgram/ml penicillin, make viability counts (proper and otherwise), and send you the results.
Your letter came the same day I mailed one to you (for the 2nd time!). Since one of the office girls is missing and the other 2 are particularly busy this week, I typed part of the ms. this weekend and will finish it myself if they can't do it shortly. I will, however, let them do the ditto set, so it may be a bit delayed.
Square petri plates still not here. Betty has bugun [sic] investigating their whereabouts.
Jim Crow is back and looking fine.
All is well.
Yours,
Jacky
