Did you ever track down that reference to ? a letter in Nature, on the concept of genetic information, that you thought I might have signed? I have a vague recollection of something of the sort, but no further clues.
Yours
Joshua.
P.S. See Medawar 1947 Biol Revs 22:360 for another early appreciation of Avery, by a contemporary biologist.
and Burnet 1945 Virus as Organism (p. 14-15, which is right on the mark).
