It was good talking to you just now. I went to my files immediately but unfortunately could not find any trace of comments
by Harriet about the 1944 Cold Spring Harbor meeting. I did, however, find a copy of something Harriet produced on the day
after my daughter was born. Since your past includes a sojourn at Schermerhorn, but particularly since you were a close friend
of Harriet's, I enclose a somewhat messy but the only available copy of that product. I hope you will be able to read
it--it is not very legible,
Once more, I want to tell you how sorry I am that I cannot come to your lecture. I do hope to see you somewhere soon.
