When Does Information Become Knowledge?
Description:
In this article, Wyatt utilized the 1944 paper by Avery, MacLeod, and McCarty and the establishment of the field of molecular biology in the middle of the twentieth century to examine the factors that determine the transformation into knowledge within the context of scientific discovery. Among other things, the article suggested several factors for the oversight of Avery's work by the Nobel Foundation even while it had been so resolutely acclaimed by molecular biologists.
