Some Physicochemical Properties of Specific Polysaccharides
This article described in detail the physical and chemical similarities between the antigenic polysaccharides in type I, type
II, and type III pneumococcus. These experiments were part of Heidelberger's attempts to better understand how each type's
unique polysaccharide capsule related to its virulence.
