From left to right in the front row are: Leon Jacobs; Hans Stetten; Fredrickson; Ronald Lamont-Havers, Deputy Director, NIH; Joseph Perpich, NIH Associate Director for Planning and Program Evaluation; Judge David Bazelon, U.S. Third Circuit Court of Appeals; and Robert Sinsheimer, Chairman, Division of Biology, California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, California.
