Description:
The Michael E. DeBakey Library and Museum, which opened on May 14, 2010, chronicles DeBakey's life.
The Museum is located on the main campus of BCM and includes DeBakey's awards and honors, photographs and video footage, his conference room table, a replica of the sewing machine he used to make the first Dacron graft, and a re-creation of the operating room that DeBakey designed. Dr. Charles McCollom is to DeBakey's right.
