Thanks ever so much for your note of October 16th regarding the recollections I wrote out on the boat coming over. I think
your suggestion of the ways in which some of the men were opposed to each other or completely out of sympathy is a good one,
though I would certainly have to consult some of the records to know the precise issues, clear as the temperamental differences
were to a casual observer. It will be fun to know some of the controversies as you saw them or heard them, for I am sure they
will throw additional light on the characters of the men and on the structure that the Foundation came to develop.
I leave for Czechoslovakia in three or four days. The visit here has been very useful. I am quite sure that action in favour
of equipment for Holland will be extremely well received and wisely used. I do not know what it will be like in Czechoslovakia,
but if the Czech institutions were robbed as thoroughly as the Dutch there will be a similar need there, for, as in Holland,
the Czechs are way behind on the production of the doctors that the country needs.
