Description:
William Osler at work on his landmark medical textbook, "The Principles and Practice of Medicine", at Johns Hopkins Hospital. This highly respected textbook, which was the last to cover all aspects of medicine, was first published in 1892 and continued to be published after his death in 1919. It was eventually translated into French, German, Portuguese, Russian, and Chinese.
