Sometime ago we received $250. on account of the use of a pacemaker which was taken into the exchange account. I would like
you to transfer this amount to a newly to be opened special fund called "Pacemaker Fund".
All purchases of pacemakers, in the future, will have to be channeled through this fund.
You therefore are authorized and requested to credit this fund also with the payment of $650. which was received from [NAME
REDACTED] for the Pacemaker that he received. Furthermore, Mr. Dreilinger took a note of $650., payable in weekly installments
of $5.00 each for a Pacemaker which will be inserted at an operation performed on [NAME REDACTED]. This receivable should
also be credited to the Pacemaker Fund.
If and when bills for Pacemakers are received they should be charged to the Pacemaker Fund and it is definite policy that
this fund never be overdrawn. Therefore, if and when you should receive in the future a bill for which no funds are available
in the Pacemaker Fund you will immediately advise me.
In view of the fact that the payment obligation in the [NAME REDACTED] case is long drawn out you will borrow from Fund 6001
the $400. which you need in addition to the already deposited $250. in the very first case, as and when the bill for the [NAME
REDACTED] case Pacemaker comes through. The loan will be paid back to 6001 as payments are received from the [NAME REDACTED]
Family on account of the note.
This arrangement has the approval of Dr. Adrian Kantrowitz.
