A few weeks ago I thought I might have the opportunity of seeing you in Washington at the Genetic Conference. Unfortunately,
I was not able to get there on time. I did arrive rather late and apparently missed you.
I wanted to ask you about Orville Elliot and a project we started many years ago. I tried to prod Orville on numerous occasions
and I think I had temporary stimulation of activity, but then it petered out again. I called about a month ago and discovered
that Orville and his wife and family are away. The prospects of getting in touch with him did not seem very great. I wondered
if you could advise me
where I might write to him directly and find out where the material is buried and perhaps have it resurrected. I know he
did a great deal of work and I believe it would be appropriate now to get the material together.
I would appreciate whatever information you might have and whatever suggestions you might come up with.
I wish you could apply your talents to cystic fibrosis and tell us what the disease is all about.
With best regards to
