11th December, 1970
During the past three years we have had a one week conference each year entitled The Clinical Delineation of Birth Defects.
Next year's conference will be the week of June 7, 1971. We have covered various areas such as malformation syndromes,
limb anomalies, skeletal dysplasias, eye, ear, skin, endocrine system etc. Next year we plan to do GI tract, including liver
and spleen and blood.
The purpose of these conferences is to sort out overlapping phenotypes in particular areas and in general to explore the congenital
and/or hereditary disorders.
I would appreciate it very much if you could discuss heterogeneity in cystic fibrosis from the clinical point of view and
also discuss the Shwachman syndrome. Other topics within the purview of the conference would be gladly received.
I can pay your expenses both for travelling and board and keep while here.
