Dear Aaron:
Can I ask a favor of you? Each year the New York Academy of Sciences (of which I am President this year) gives out a number of awards, some earmarked and some not. This year out Awards Committee thought it might be a good idea to give a special award, posthumously, to Rosalind Franklin, for her past contribution. A bit late, I am sure, but we would like to honor a very good woman of science. Can I get a letter of recommendation from you, within the new few weeks? Thank you, and regards,
Sincerely,
Philip Siekevitz
