Title:
[Notes on meeting with Sir William Slater] pdf (94,740 Bytes)
[Notes on meeting with Sir William Slater]
Description:
Sir William Slater was head of the Agricultural Research Council, which funded Franklin's research from 1954 to 1957. In 1955, with a productive team assembled, Franklin petitioned the ARC for increased funding. Notes from her meeting with Slater show how poorly he understood her work and her abilities, and how difficult it was to get what the research group required.
Item is handwritten.
