The Wilbur A. Sawyer Papers

Sawyer spent January through March of 1937 visiting Rockefeller Foundation project sites in Japan and China. Dr. Mataro Nagayo, president of Tokyo Imperial University, gave a tea for Sawyer and some of the faculty members. Sawyer is at front center and Dr. Nobechi is to the right. Dr. Nagayo and faculty members were not identified in the caption.
