Dear Professor Noyes:
During the coming year I plan to carry on an intensive examination of organic molecules and crystal, especially those of biochemical importance, by x-ray and electron diffraction methods, in conjunction with theoretical considerations. I recommend that the following men be appointed as Research Fellows of the Institute for the period of July 1, 1934 to June 30, 1935, to assist with this program, their stipends to be paid from the Rockefeller Fund.
Dr. J.H. Sturdivant $2000.00
Dr. L.O. Brockway 1800.00
Dr. G.W. Wheland 1400.00
Dr. J.H. Sherman 1200.00
Dr. S. Weinbaum 1200.00
Total 7600.00
Balance of Fund 2400.00
Total Fund $10000.00
In each case payments are to be made in twelve equal installments, on the last day of each month, beginning July 31, 1934.
May I request that you communicate this recommendation to the Executive Council, if it meets with your approval?
Very sincerely yours,
