On Research Styles and Allied Matters
Description:
Luria explored how research styles and environments influence how research findings are produced in this paper, an early version of an article that appeared in the Spring 1973 issue of "Daedalus." Utilizing anecdotal evidence and addressing some of the differences between the sciences and humanities, he discussed numerous variables that affect how researchers study their subjects, including personality, institutional settings, political and social influences, funding sources, and academic trends.
