nation's chief public health officer, including his goal to reduce smoking, improve the lives of children with disabilities,
and advance maternal and child health. In addition he discussed his mentors and his own impact as a pediatric surgeon, his
position on abortion, and the controversy over his nomination as Surgeon General.
