The Francis Crick Papers
This lecture was first delivered at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography on 5 November 1976.
Directed panspermia was Crick's and Leslie Orgel's name for their theory that life on earth might have sprung from seeds spread deliberately from spaceships sent by a distant civilization.
